Artisan pesto
Our pesto is made with fresh ingredients farmed using earth friendly, organic practices. We grow most of our primary ingredients and what we cannot produce on our own we strive to source locally and organically whenever possible. Each pesto variety is hand-crafted in small batches and made in our state licensed commercial kitchen on the farm.
We only use non-GMO seeds for all of our plants. Each variety of basil, kale, and garlic have been carefully selected for their unique flavor profiles. We maintain strict harvest and processing schedules, ensuring plants are picked and processed at their peak of freshness.
Pestos are available fresh during the growing season (upon request) and frozen year-round. Our pesto is currently available in locations around Wisconsin, direct to consumers at local farmers' markets, and may be shipped to out-of-state locations. Contact us for wholesale purchasing and to discuss options for out-of-state shipping.
Wondering how to use pesto? There are so many options! At Stonehouse Farm we like to keep it simple by tossing a spoonful of pesto with stir-fried veggies. Traditionally, pesto is eaten tossed with pasta or with chicken. It’s wonderful mixed with veggie noodles or spread on sandwiches. On weekends we love to make homemade pizza with our pesto and Stonehouse Farm pepperoni. Our pesto also makes a fantastic chip or cracker dip because it tends to have a more “rustic”, thick texture. These are just a few ideas…we encourage you to use your imagination and discover more ways to spice up your life with pesto.
